Preferred Files
Our design team relies on high-quality, editable files to turn your plush toy vision into a tangible, lovable product. These are the preferred formats for optimal crafting results:
- - Vector graphics: AI, EPS, SVG (fully scalable, perfect for pattern making and logo detailing with no quality loss) - Print-ready PDFs: PDF/X-1a (with embedded patterns, fonts and clear color blocks)
- - Layered design drafts: PSD (only for complex plush patterns, with editable layers for facial features, accessories and textures)
- - 3D models/sketches: OBJ, FBX, high-resolution JPG/PNG (for advanced structural previews and proportion calibration)
Note: We recommend avoiding CDR files, as they require specialized software and can cause production delays. For questions about file formats, sketch optimization or design adjustments, our designers are available via live chat or phone.
Font Guidelines
Typography and patterns are the soul of your custom plush, defining its unique personality. Follow these rules to ensure your logos, text and patterns are printed/embroidered clearly and adorably:
- - Minimum text/pattern size: 6mm (smaller details may not be embroidered/printed legibly on soft fabric)
- - Embed all fonts and vector patterns in your file, or convert text to outlines to avoid missing elements
- - Use high-contrast colors for text and patterns (CMYK or Pantone) to ensure visibility on plush fabrics
- - We protect your design privacy: any exclusive patterns, logos or custom designs you share will never be reused or disclosed to third parties
Pattern Lines & Technical Artwork
Pattern lines are the core blueprint for your custom plush toy, ensuring precise cutting, sewing, stuffing and shaping for a perfect fit and cute silhouette. Our team of experts will create these professional technical patterns for you for free to avoid production issues like:
- - Uneven sewing lines or distorted plush proportions
- - Misaligned facial features, accessories or body parts
- - Loose stuffing or unstable plush structure
Our technical files include: precise cutting lines, sewing guidelines, seam allowances (minimum 5mm), and proportion calibration marks, all with an industry-standard tolerance of ≤0.1mm for a polished finish.
Color Accuracy & Fabric Matching
Our experienced design team ensures your custom plush colors are vibrant, consistent, and true to your brand vision, with soft, skin-friendly fabric tones. We use:
- - CMYK Digital Printing: For full-color patterns and detailed designs, with a built-in RGB→CMYK conversion engine to preserve your original color scheme
- - Pantone Spot Colors & Fabric Dyeing: For precise, brand-matched fabric and embroidery colors that remain consistent across all orders
Before mass production, we'll send you a high-resolution digital proof and optional physical sample for your approval. This ensures you see exactly what your custom plush will look like—no surprises, just perfect color consistency and adorable detailing.
Design & Graphic Tips
To make your custom plush toys extra eye-catching and huggable, ensure your designs are prepared correctly:
- - Embed all linked images, patterns and fonts in your design files - Save large or multiple design drafts in separate ZIP files for easy review
- - Use high-resolution images (300 DPI) for sharp, clear printing and embroidery
- - Opt for simple, rounded patterns for better sewing and softer plush texture
